Tour of Oregon

Oh, sorry, right weather, wrong state.

Santa Rosa was cold and rainy. Windy, too. I rode in the morning towards the coast, through Occidental, but was turned around and subsequently chased by a Cyclone. It took 3 days for my shoes to dry under the floor heater of the RV.

Rain

Santa Cruz....with each passing wave of rain, wind, and hail we (fellow hack pros not racing this week) laughed at the poor suckers out there in the latest storm of the century. Back at the finish, errbodysay....

Modesto. Not your average cycling town. Rabobank is making a big push in the US market. This thing was painted, not wrapped. That's saying something.

  • Serious looking backward black cap. Check.
  • Cane, possibly from taking a few rounds to the leg. Check.
  • Black hoodie that's likely hiding a concealed weapon with 1 in the chamber and 9 in the clip. Check.
  • Posing with a guy in a costume while throwing a gang pose with your posse while waiting to see Lance. Check.

Street cred

But what's in the backpack?

Lances bike is in it. Anyway, everyone knows that you bring a back pack to put all the freebies!

I've lived in Modesto and you have no idea how accurate you are with your description of the homie with the Modesto Nuts mascot. I am truly surprised someone didn't try to steal a team car.

Yeah...Modesto to London...about the same. I'm only get slightly confused by the fact that the airport has more than one gate. Or maybe it's because there is more than one airport? huh.
