A splash of antifreeze will keep that bottle from slushing up. Red antifreeze for a berry flavored appearance, green if you are going for the lemon-lime look. The last I have been told it is totally safe.
(disclaimer; Do Not put antifreeze in your waterbottles!)
The nice thing about 10 below compared to 40 below is that it all feels the same. You just get frostbite a bit faster. If your fingers are black Jason, it is time to go home. And don't run them under hot water. That is an old and painful myth. Happy Holidays to you and the fam!
