bigger fish to fry

Yeah, well, there was a lot of racing going on this weekend I didn't find myself doing any of it.

Cactus Cup in 'Vegas - well, those guys putting on the event, I feel bad for them, but certainly a few things could have been done different...and better, but what lessons aren't learned the best by doing things wrong?

Starcrossed and its related misery the next day in Tacoma, missed those, too. I did give Hood River a go on Saturday, but couldn't find a reason to really be there...those are the days you smell the moment you step out of bed, but regardless of knowing better, plow forward.

It worked out, clearly, for the best as Sunday we kept it local and enjoyed the waning moments of non-winter and dry trails. Just in time for Christian (who's photos I stole) to arrive via 1200GS from San Fransico, the bottom fell out and it rained. I'd show Portland to bros no other way than by wet streets.

A cool trip, these guys flew to SFO, rented Beemer bikes and rallied up the coast for 4 days.

Quote of the week, from an irate driver who they chopped off in traffic on the PCH (once he caught up to them at the gas station)

"If I'd seen you slide off the road and into the sea, I wouldn't have even stopped to check on you."

What could you say to that?

Poor Ryan fell victim to a the old One/Two teammate action in Seattle last weekend. At least he basically I'd do the same if I were really good at anything.

See you guys in 'Vegas.
