The last couple of days...
Geez, when you're bike riding, how does one take pictures of the activities without a) making them contrived, b) keep them original, and c) omit images of guys in spandex?
its all fairly impossible. why fight it?

Mike and Todd and I went out for a couple of hot laps on the course yesterday and that's something I've rarely done - work out on the mountain bike.
On downloading the 705 Edge the other day, its fairly apparent the exact pacing and tactics of the race - with the two guys chasing me, I figured, why not rest a bit, let one jump across, and while he's trying to recover from the chase, open the gap back up. Plus, I was getting hot.

The Garmin has been quite useful for riding in the hills here - with a plethora of roads and each of them involving thousands of feet of climbing at double digit grades, to make a mistake would be...unfortunate! The 705 has a microSD card that stores what seems like all the road maps of the world on it.
We've been training early this week - like 6am early. We were actually chilly at one point.

A few guys have stayed the week for the upcoming UCI race in Bayamon...while the other gringos headed back to school, or PanAms. Its always nice to train with a new group, from other countries, new conversations, Spanglish flying and the slowly quieting of conversation as the road starts to point towards the sky...

And then there's this route making...and guard dog.
