I expect to find Gnomes, SASQUATCH, or Ewoks around each corner.

You can drink all the beer you'd like, shoot guns at high noon, and pick your nose at red lights...but spend a few minutes in the mist of a waterfall, deeeeep in the forest where your cell phone doesn't work and if you crashed they'd find your body next Spring, and you'll say to yourself:
"This is pretty."
ok, maybe you wouldn't say it, but if your girl was with you, the two parties would be in agreement over the matter, at least.
I value being able to go on these little escapes as one of my highest personal priorities, regarding staying sane, grounded, and productive.

La Ruta bridge wouldn't have a railing....and the wood would be rotted.
Ooh, good call. Those trails usually hold up pretty well even when it gets wet. You'll enjoy exploring to the east when the time comes.
For sure...I'm going to need a mtb guide. A road guide, too.
