back on the home turf

Finally...the sun came out. For those Austin trivia buffs, those little red roofed houses to left of center used to be where Armstrong once lived...that was before he rolled like he does now. Pretty rad.
This week in Austin has been more busy than when I'm at home. Having the chance to ride has been a challenge, at least on my terms. Of the many items of business I've had to take care of, one was a meeting with Bradly Saul of Organic Athlete.
OA/Bradly is/are organizing the Tour de Organics rides in several cities around the US, including Austin. The ride will visit many of the area's organic farms, with rest stops at each farm to fuel and refresh...free range, of course. Check it out.
Meeting after meeting...gonna take a ride in a high rise elevator.
While I'm in the Lone Star State...I figured I should do some outlet mall shopping.
For guns.
Speaking of hunting...how this for ironic? I bagged this H2 while driving my own road warrior. I bet there's more dirt in my wheel wells than his.
While in town, I went to visit my boys at Jack and Adams. Check Jack's skills out. They loaned me a pair of Zipp 606's for the road race, which i promptly double flatted on.
That puts me with at least two flats for every bike ride I've been on since last Saturday...and I haven't take a day off, either.
Did I mention I flatted today while road racing in the middle of this?
It was like someone was shooting a garden hose in my face for 75 miles.

Hey Jason:
What road is that in the first photo?
49 miles and I didn't touch my bottles...kind of gross when I look back on it.
