fruita fatigue

I'm toast. Rolling a St.George training camp into a Park City training camp into a Fruita camp has been solid, but I found my limit. But..when in Rome...

I have to give a few props. Orhan, Kermit, Guyton..all the guys at Cannondale have done a great job over the years taking care of my racing equipment, and 2006 is turning out to be no different. My Rush with custom orange accents and glow in the dark decals arrived just as I was leaving PC and the guys at Over the Edge in Fruita set me up with a stand to put'er together...XO triggers and fresh Martas, man, I miss roosting the trails. I got so lucky on this trip when putting my bike together...I just grabbed two egg beater pedals before walking out the door and it turns out I grabbed on triple ti short spindle and one double ti long spindle, not even the same pedal, but by the luck of the draw, they at least were a left and right combo. That's so Boulder, custom Q-factor setups....

Today we rolled a finger nail pulling few hours in the valleys, full of gloom and a damp wind. Then, rolling into town, the sun broke, and damn it. I'm hitting the trail.

I'm going to get smoked this weekend in Texas.

Nice to see you back in action. That Rush is sweet - you turning towards long stuff now or what?

I spent all of last week in St George, one of the best training weeks in recent times. It helps to have a guide, but I found the area much like an undiscovered Moab, a bit different than your experience. It was almost all dirt time though.
